Insights sets sights on Asia

Global learning and development company, Insights, has today (3rd February, 2016) announced it is extending its international footprint into Asia by opening its first office in Singapore.

The move from the company, based in Dundee, Scotland, is in response to increasing demand for Insights’ products and services from existing and potential clients in the region. The Asia operation will be run by Mark Leisegang who has been appointed as the company’s first General Manager for Asia.

Insights views the Singapore expansion as a springboard for growth in markets such as China, Japan, India and Australia where the company currently operates through a network of distributors.

Commenting on the company’s expansion into Asia, Insights’ Chief Operating Officer, Fiona Logan, said:

We’re thrilled at the opportunity to bring the Insights magic to this exciting part of the world. We already have a large number of clients in Asia through our network of distributors and this builds on the direct relationships we have already formed with our important global clients across the region.

Chief Executive Andy Lothian added:

We’ve been supporting our global clients in Asia for some time without a direct presence. Establishing our office in Singapore under Mark’s experienced leadership gives us the foundation for our future expansion in the region.

The new, wholly-owned facility is expected to be established in July and will have a small team covering sales, partner liaison and administration, with plans for rapid expansion.

Insights is headquartered in Dundee, Scotland, and employs more than 400 people globally (including 160 in the UK, of whom 130 are based in Dundee). The company helps its clients to achieve their business and organisational goals through simple and insightful people development.

For 2014/15 the company reported brand revenue of c.£37M and annual group revenue of £28M. Insights has ambitious growth plans and a strategy to double the size of both group and brand revenue by 2018.

The time has come for us to invest in infrastructure and grow our business further in Asia as we look to double the size of the overall Insights business by 2018.

Fiona Logan, Chief Operating Officer
