Institute of Directors nominations for Insights

Dundee-based learning and development company Insights is celebrating after two of its directors were shortlisted for this year’s Institute of Directors (IoD) Scotland Director of the Year Awards.

Chief Executive Andy Lothian is in the running for the Director of the Year award, while Chief Technology Officer Greig Johnston has been shortlisted for the Tayside Regional Director award.

Andy said:

I’m humbled, honoured and excited to have been shortlisted in the incredibly competitive Director of the Year category. I’m also delighted that our Chief Technology Officer Greig Johnston is in the running for an award.
Insights has had a terrific year. We continue to be one of Dundee’s fastest growing companies, with average growth of c.17% and we’ve increased our pre-tax profit by c.26%. We launched our new customer strategy, which puts our customers at the heart of everything we do, and we’re also in the process of building new Product Management and Learning Experience teams.

Greig said:

I’m absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted and would love to win this award for Insights. My vision for product and technology at Insights is where technology is integrated in such a way that it drives product innovation and solution development in a magical, transformational and customer-focused way.

The IoD Scotland Director of the Year Awards is Scotland's premier awards event and open to directors from across Scotland’s public, private and third sectors.

This year’s black-tie event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 17 March.
